Fincher and Co. isn’t a vineyard, but a single brand created by two wine experts, Liam Steevenson MW, and Ben Glover, winemaker at Zephyr Wines. Both New Zealanders and really good friends, their alliance seemed obvious to them as they share the same vision about wine and terroir.
Their aim was to reflect a single site viticulture in Marlborough for Sauvignon Blancs and Central Otago for Pinot Noirs. The idea behind the brand was to reflect the terroir of the Southern Valleys but also to challenge the consumer by offering alternative wines that are artisanal, and slightly alternative, in terms of fruit and flavour but still reflect the true expressions and recognisable traits of the Marlborough and Central Otago regions.
