Tasting with Ben Glover winemaker | New Zealand

Join Ben Glover (aka The Janitor) from Zephyr Wines at POP Brixton for a wine tasting event on Tuesday 3rd September!

Ben Glover is here to represent the entire Glover fold and guide you through several wines from his family-owned Marlborough vineyards. He won’t be arriving by the sexy MK111 Zephyr wheels which make great acclaim throughout Blenheim, but he’ll definitely be bringing his Zephyr chat and a few elixirs that make the car run faster! Zephyr also means ‘a gentle breeze’ which seems to be quite the right fit for the Marlborough’s Dillon’s Point where the Glover’s planted their first grapes in 1988.

Marlborough’s Dillon’s Point sub-region is approximating 10 metres above sea level, helping our glorious winemaker produce very unique flavours in his wines. The Opawa River, running along the vineyard, deposits fertile silt loam which transforms the taste of its wine, giving them great depth of flavour and excellent structural longevity.

Ben Glover, an appreciative drinker (like many of us!) has become an outstanding winemaker - with incredible background experience as chair of Pinot Noir 2017 New Zealand, the world’s largest and most prestigious pinot noir event. An established winemaker for Zephyr since 2006, his elegant style has made him one of the most respected in the business.
