Pinot Noir Wine

Pinot Noir Wine is a red wine grape variety, that comes from the Burgundy region in France. Its name is comes from ‘pine’ thanks to its tightly packed grape clusters (like a pine cone). And ‘black’ due to its very dark skins. Tightly packed clusters make it susceptible to various viticultural hazards. It’s a tricky one!

Why Pinot Noir?

Pinot Noir Wine is used to make red wines around the world. But its light tannins also work well for making Champagne and other sparkling white wines. Although it’s a very ancient variety, it’s popular among New World regions such as the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
